Hot Beef Mulligatawny Soup

1 large onion, chopped

2 carrots, chopped

1 apple, peeled, cored and chopped

1 handful of raisins

1 tablespoon butter or oil

2 tablespoons flour

4 teaspoons curry powder

5 cups beef stock

1 (14 ounce) can chopped tomatoes

2 teaspoons honey

salt and pepper

1-2 drops Blair's Berserker Shot to Hell sauce

1 cup leftover cooked beef, minced or sliced very thinly

1/3 cup cooked rice


Fry vegetables, apple and raisins in butter/oil until soft.

Stir in flour & curry powder and cook for 1 minute.

Add stock, tomatoes, honey, seasoning and Blair's Berserker Shot to Hell sauce.

Bring to the boil, then lower heat, cover and simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

Sieve or liquidize the soup and return to saucepan.

Add minced beef  and rice.

Bring back to the boil for 2- 3 minutes, check the seasoning and serve.
